Estudió español, y lo aprendió a hablar viendo telenovelas mexicanas. También, estudió en la Universidad Estatal de Moscú, Periodismo y Relaciones Públicas, pero abandonó sus estudios para mudarse a la Ciudad de México.
Irina Baeva trabajó como vendedora para pagar su primer viaje a México.
En el año 2012, se muda a la Ciudad de México para estudiar actuación en el Centro de Educación Artística (CEA) de Televisa
Irina debutó en las telenovelas mexicanas en 2015 en Muchacha italiana viene a casarse, que protagonizaba Livia Brito.
En 2017 obtiene otro papel protagónico en la telenovela Me declaro culpable, producción de Angelli Nesma para Televisa, donde comparte créditos con Juan Soler, Daniela Castro, Mayrin Villanueva, Juan Diego Covarrubias, entre otros.
